The Prevention Certification Board of New Hampshire is an all-volunteer board with the important role of providing oversight for the process of certifying individuals as Prevention Specialists in the state of New Hampshire through IC&RC credentialing. The board has the responsibility of reviewing and approving Continuing Education (CEUs) for Certified Prevention Specialists for various types of events (workshops, webinars, trainings, conferences, etc.)
Our Mission
The mission of the Prevention Certification Board of NH is to prevent the misuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs by providing a professional prevention credential, Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS), which:
- Ensures that individuals working in communities to reduce risk and promote health have current and comprehensive knowledge, skills, and attitudes to carry out successful prevention approaches;
- Recognizes and supports a broad public health approach to behavioral health and wellness;
- Protects consumers served by credentialed professionals.

The 2024 Prevention Certification Board of NH meetings are held on the first Thursday every other month from 10:00am -12:00pm. Below are the dates of the 2024 Board Meetings:
